Saturday Super Scoreboard
For five years Chris Kane was presenter of Westsound’s “Saturday Super Scoreboard”, a four hour weekly show keeping listeners up to date with all of the UK’s football action, but focusing on Kilmarnock, Ayr United, Queen of the South, Stranraer, Annan Athletic and the West Region Juniors. This is an example of the first hour of a show.
Chris Kane was for a while the full time mid morning presenter on Edinburgh’s TALK107 FM. Here’s the first hour of a show from December 2008, which includes interviews with a spokesperson from VISA ahead of their busiest day of the year, an auctioneer on how to stop cash in the attic (ahead of the Antiques Road Show Coming to Scotland), and a spokesperson from ASH Scotland on the alarming rise in the number of teenage smokers in Scotland.
Forth 1 Mid-Morning
Chris Kane has been a commercial radio broadcaster for nearly twenty years. This is a five minute excerpt from Forth One’s mid-morning show, which Chris provided holiday cover for, for a week last year.
“We’re in the Money”
Chris Kane presented a three part series for BBC Radio Scotland entitled “We’re in the Money”, where he was in conversation with three different people who had each come into a substantial sum of money. In this show, Chris talks with Mark Gardiner, who won the UK’s biggest lottery payout in 1995 when he shared £22.6 million with a friend.
